More information about the Santa Fe Art District 1st Fridays Art Walk: Santa Fe Art District (SFAD), the up and coming art community along Santa Fe Drive in Denver, announces the 1st Fridays Art Walk. On the 1st Friday of every month, SFAD invites art connoisseurs to enjoy a night of great art from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at no cost. Formed to facilitate promotion and collaborative exhibition scheduling, SFAD consists of seventeen members including the Museo de las Americas. It is Denver's only multi-block art district beside LoDo where viewers can easily walk to all the galleries. The seventeen participating art galleries and other art organizations, covering a seven-block section of Santa Fe Drive from 5th to 12th Avenues, exhibit the work of international, national and local artists. Museo de las Americas, a museum of Latin American art, history and culture is included in this group. This winter it is over the Martin Luther King holiday weekend of January 14-17. Many of his travelers are golfers but this year a separate adult singles program is being offered. The trip will be advertised for $657 per person. However, through a special two-day sale through Friday November 5, the price is only $477—a $180 per person savings. The groups stay at the large Melia Resort on the beach. It has a huge swimming pool with a swim up bar. All meals at four hotel restaurants plus bar drinks are included in the price. One night the singles group meets for dinner outside under the stars at banquet tables overlooking the ocean. Another night they can join a tour that takes them to the town’s hottest bars including admission and a drink at each location. The holiday weekend getaway package including non-stop airfare, accommodations, meals in four restaurants, bar drinks, airport transfers and tips starts at $657 per person---but is only $477 when booked by this Friday afternoon.
